About this Webinar:Abstract: Dr. Bohon will present an overview of the body-brain signals that drive eating behavior before reviewing research on how those processes are impacted in the context of eating disorders. She will describe research across different eating disorder diagnoses—including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder—with a focus on what this body-brain connection means for recovery and supporting loved ones through treatment.

Presenter Bio:

Dr. Cara Bohon is Senior Vice President of Clinical Programs at Equip Health and a clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience as an executive, clinician, and researcher in the eating disorders field. Her research focuses on identifying underlying factors like brain function and body image to develop effective interventions. Her work has been published in top-tier journals and she was awarded an Early Career Investigator Award from the Academy of Eating Disorders. Dr. Bohon earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Oregon and is a Clinical Associate Professor at Stanford University.
